Bending Brakes
A metal brake is designed to fold or bend sheet metal. Brakes have varying degrees of bend radiuses and, depending on the model, can bend material as thick as 20-gauge mild steel. Some models have a fixed set of plates for bending, and other models have adjustable dies for more intricate bends.
We carry a whole pile of metal brakes in all popular sizes and types, including vise mounted!
Metal Tube and Bar benders are used for shaping flat, round and square in solid or hollow metals. A variety of dies are used for different types of bends. Pipe benders use a series of dies for a variety of diameter pipe.
Metal benders are great for custom scroll work, pipe bending, custom automotive, motorcycle frames, roll cages and tons of other metal forming projects. Princess Auto has you covered. We carry many different metal benders, from gear driven tubing benders, small to large universal benders, portable hydraulic bender kits to large 20-ton tri-pod hydraulic benders. We even carry a new engine driven rolling pipe bender to get the job done…no matter how big or small. Who needs super-strength when you’ve got tools like these!?
Sheet Metal Rollers
Get a bead on our line up of sheet metal rolling machines like Slip and Bead rollers, English wheels or a rotary machine. Sheet metal always looks better with curves…
Metal rollers curve and form sheet metal. Some models have long smooth rollers for making cylinder shapes; other metal rollers like bead rollers and rotary machines have interchangeable dies, for making rings, beaded edging and crimping for added strength and rigidity. The thickness of sheet metal will determine the type and size of the ideal metal roller.
An English wheel is a forming tool used to make gorgeous lines and curves in sheet metal. Think, sexy curves on a chopper gas tank or those sweet lines on your car body --all made possible by an English wheel. Sheet metal is manually pushed back and forth through a set of dies. Depending on the type of die selected it will curve the sheet metal, thus shaping it. The bottom die is adjustable, and the top die is fixed. Adjusting the height of the bottom die will squeeze the sheet and then the curve is formed by moving the sheet back and forth.
Metal Stretcher & Shrinkers
MetalStretch & Shrinker Sets are one of the most useful tools in your autobody arsenal. Used to stretch and shrink metal in order to make curves for perfect-fit rust-repair metal work around wheel openings, door jambs, windshield channels and trunk gutters. When you actuate the jaws, they grip and pull the metal together or spread it apart. The shrinker pulls the metal together and in turn, curves the piece inward, while the and the stretcher pull the metal apart for an outward curve. We’ve got them in regular and heavy duty.
