Kids learning to skate on an outdoor rink may be having a blast, and likely won’t stop until you call them back inside. But when the weather doesn’t play nice, that enthusiasm could fade. In order to keep their grandkids active, Donald decided to create a sheltered rink so the little ones can keep on practicing!

What is it? This indoor hockey rink project was made for our grandchildren, who are learning how to play hockey and staying active.
What did you use to build it? We used a sawmill, nails, hammer, tarps, some rope, and an electric circular saw to cut and trim OSB boards and homemade boards.
What design/build challenges did you overcome? Levelling the foundation.
If you had to build it again, what would you do differently? Install some heating.
