Tired of having to lift his kayak overhead after a day of paddling, Daniel built himself a trailer to make transporting it easier, with room for more kayaks.
What is it? It' s a small practical trailer to carry several kayaks. I made this trailer because I was tired of mounting the kayaks (and only 2) on the car roof after a long day of paddling. Now on this small lightweight trailer, I can mount 2 to 8 kayaks effortlessly at man height.
What components are used to perform the work for your project? (e.g. hydraulic cylinder(s), hydraulic motor(s), sprockets, pulleys etc.) Axle, wheels, suspension, wiring and LED lights.
What design/build challenges did you overcome? Other than welding and extending the center pole, this was fairly simple to make.
If you had to build it again, what would you do differently? Nothing :-) I'm happy with it.
