New Princess Auto store to open in Guelph, Ont. in 2026

Princess Auto is setting up shop in Guelph with a new store that’s scheduled to open in the southwestern Ontario city next year.

Built from the ground up, the 30,000-square-foot store will feature a modern layout and a design focused on efficiency and customer experience.

The new Guelph location will allow farmers, industrial workers, tradespeople and other hardworking people in the area to get the tools, equipment and other products they need without having to make a long trip to a Princess Auto store in another community.

“It will be more convenient for customers to come shop our unique assortment of tools, equipment and more right in Guelph,” said Mike Kivell, Princess Auto’s Vice-President of Retail Operations for Ontario.

“Customers can now come easily see products, talk with our Team Members and have a hands-on experience.”

Princess Auto’s vast product assortment spans several categories, including Air and Power, Farm, Hand Tools, Hydraulics, Metal Fabrication, Outdoor Power Equipment, Seasonal, Shop and Garage, Surplus, Truck, Trailer and Recreational.

All our products are backed by Princess Auto’s Royal Service promise – no sale is final until you’re satisfied.

Ontario is currently home to more than 20 Princess Auto stores. The privately owned retailer’s presence continues to grow in the province, with the recent opening of a Princess Auto store in Burlington, Ont. in June.

In October, Princess Auto will open a second location in London, Ont., in addition to reopening a relocated store in Hamilton, Ont.

Located at the intersection of Woodlawn Road and Royal Road, the new Guelph store is slated to open its doors in the third quarter of 2026.

“Opening in Guelph continues strong momentum of growth in Ontario for next year,” Kivell said.

“We're not just building a store in Guelph, we're planting roots.”
